What does the Bazalt group do?

Bazalt Group, founded in 2013 after the merger of Bazalt, HCO and RPCZ, is a leading center of expertise in the Netherlands for educational development. The organization works with schools, child centers and boards in primary, secondary and high school education and supports teachers, students, parents and school teams in achieving innovation and improvement in education.

The challenge

Bazalt Group needed a central system to make training courses easily accessible to education specialists. Previously, booking trainings went through different channels, which led to unnecessary administrative actions and confusion among users. There was a need for a user-friendly solution in which all learning activities could be viewed and accessed in one place.

The solution

Together with PlusPort, Bazalt Group implemented an LMS/LXP in which training courses are offered centrally. An important starting point was that the system had to feel intuitive for the end user. Through the Bazalt Group website, education specialists can now easily book training courses without noticing that they are on an external platform. This smooth integration provides recognition and convenience. Automatic communication around registrations and documentation also lightens the work of the administration.

The Result

The introduction of the LMS/LXP has resulted in a clearer, more efficient and user-friendly learning environment for education specialists. Administrative operations have been reduced to a minimum, and training courses are easy to find and book. The simplification of the learning process leaves more time for what Bazalt Group is really about: strengthening education professionals and improving education.
